The Jimmy Buffett Buffet Everyone put on their best Hawaiian shirt for the the Jimmy Buffett Buffet. We even had bar boys! Behind Bill Oxley, Nick Hansen and Pete Dyson you can see some mixer, and behind Gordon Steele you can see the blender, which has already rendered some magical concoction. That might account for the fact that Gordon did an impromptu pole dance, to the immense delight of the many photographers who were in attendence. You can see Janelle Bradshaw and Susan Durst behind him, in various states of amusement. Meanwhile, back at the ranch... Er, anyway everyone else was trying to fill out the "Parrothead" questions. That's Dan Bauserman and Cheryl McCarthy with their backs to us, but their heads together, attempting to answer all the questions. Paula Campbell wouldn't even stop to eat until she had filled in everything. What dedication! As promised everyone got laid, got a lei, whatever. I don't have a spell checker in this program. As you can see not only did we have leis, but also ballons, and a parrot that flew around and around (directly above Karen's head). In the bottom picture Bill Oxley appears, faintly, in front of Heather Gilbert. It looks like he was working on his questions as this point, leaving the bar duties to others. A wonderful time was had by all. We then staggered off to our rooms to recuperate for the next day's festivities. Well, some of us actually staggered off to the Hospitality Room and began working on a giant, and quite impossible, flag puzzle. Eventually it was actually finished by the indefatigable Cheryl McCarthy. I helped a little, but mostly just nibbled on fudge while Cheryl did the work. |
